Kayla Radomski and Kupono Aweau dance to Sara Bareilles’ Gravity:
I first saw this while visiting Tori in Long Beach over the weekend. I’ve always had a strong attachment to this song (those of you who’ve been my friends for quite some time now should know why) and I had deep doubts as to whether they’d be able to successfully create an accurate visual representation of its very lyrics, one that would stay true to the meaning of the song. Much to my surprise, they were. My jaw dropped as I watched Kupono grab, toss, and manipulate Kayla around the stage while the latter desperately sought to escape his grasp. Both assumed the characters flawlessly and the performance was a beautiful melding of theatre and dance. If you haven’t seen it, watch it. If you already have, then you know you wanna watch it again.
And, due to popular demand, here’s to Kayla: OM NOM NOM NOM NOM :)
